Joseph Aoun, Founder, has been managing Global 21 since its beginnings in 2000. He has over 25 years hands-on experience in business, communication, education, management and marketing in Canada and internationally.
He founded in Montreal, in 2000, Global 21 , a consulting firm specialised in international marketing for international educational establishments and summer camps and in training in communication, management, intercultural, intelligent marketing, human resources and customer service. The firm works with schools, universities, summer camps and private as well as public companies engaged in various sectors of activities, in Canada and throughout the world.
Before founding Global 21 in 2000, Joseph Aoun was exclusive agent for accredited language schools and summer camps in Great Britain, USA, France and Switzerland. The main achievement was the establishment of an international network of 40 marketing offices throughout the world. During the six years of this project, he sent 12,000 week/adult and junior students to the schools and summer camps.
Then he established and managed during ten years a language institute (English, French, Spanish) in Canada, which gained an international reputation three years after its launching (500 agents throughout the world, about thirty teachers and ten employees). The institute welcomed hundreds of students and professionals each year from about 50 countries for cultural and linguistic immersions.
Joseph Aoun created methods and manuals related to French and English as foreign languages. He has been the author and co-author of 30 language, accounting and computer manuals. He has also taught accounting to adults during the first three years of the institute, having a bachelor's degree in business administration and a diploma in accounting.
He has also been one of the founders of the Canadian Association of Private Language Schools CAPLS. He sat on the Board of Directors of the Association as well as on the Member Recruitment Committee and has been its first Chairman of Marketing. He was its first appointed official representative and speaker abroad for the Expolangues Exhibition in Paris as well as the associated events organsied by the Canadian Embassy in Paris. He has also been Editor in Chief of Contact Magazine, a business publication that was published in Montreal and distributed in 75 countries.
Since 1998, Joseph Aoun advises businesses and individuals from various sectors of activities, educational establishments and summer camps in Canada, in Europe and in USA. He gives conferences and is a trainer accredited by the Commission of labour market partners in Québec and author of numerous books published by leading publishers in Canada and France. He has created about thirty training manuals in communication, management, intercultural, multicultural team management, intelligent marketing and customer service.
He made over 500 trips throughout the world, stayed and did business in over fifty countries on five continents, and worked with more than one hundred twenty different nationalities. He visited so far over a thousand companies of various sectors of activities in Canada and throughout the world of which 600 colleges, schools, language institutes, universities and summer camps, and hundreds of agents specialised in education as well as travel agencies.
